San Miguel de Allende
A large, lively colonia directly south of Centro with homes at many price points.
About San Antonio
San Antonio sits directly south of Centro and is one of the largest neighborhoods in San Miguel de Allende. It has a mix of traditional Mexican homes, remodeled houses and newer construction, which gives it one of the broadest price ranges close to the historic center.
The colonia is popular with expats and has a residential, lived-in feel: corner shops, small plazas and streets that are generally flatter than the historic core. Many homes have gardens or courtyards that would be hard to find at the same price in Centro.
San Antonio is a strong choice when you want to walk to Centro on some days and have more space and a quieter street on the others.

FAQ
It borders Centro to the south, so the northern edge is an easy walk to the Jardín and the southern streets are a short drive or taxi ride.
A mix of traditional homes, renovated properties and new builds. Modest casitas and large renovated homes can sit within a few blocks of each other, which is why prices vary so much.
Yes. Because the colonia is large and established, unrenovated homes appear on the MLS regularly, and they tend to be priced below comparable projects in Centro.
